Who we are

A small congregation with a wide-open door.

We are a Christ-centered, nondenominational fellowship in the heart of Groton. Our services are unhurried and personal: the kind of place where people know your name by the second visit and pray for you by the third.

Between Sundays, our members cook and serve meals at area meal centers, check in on neighbors, and support families across the New London region who need a hand.

Founders

Rev. George & Jeannie Rucker

The Missionary Church of Groton was founded by Rev. George and Jeannie Rucker, whose pastoral care and vision continue to shape this congregation on North Street.

Together they have led the church in worship, teaching, and neighborly service, building a fellowship where people are known by name and carried in prayer.
